I use the IMDb Scraper to scan for video content on a samba share. It is a great feature, but it would be nice if the scraper could be set up to automatically re-scan for content on a given time interval. I.E. on startup, daily, or weekly

you have all the tools you need.
a builtin to do the scan.
python to do the scheduling logic.
it wont be added into the core for these reasons
