NUC Pentium 3700 or core i3 or i5
#1
Hi There,

I am looking for an new htpc and i want to have a nuc (or a comparable box)

What should it do:

Kodi
Tv (with DVB-T2 and or DVB-C USb Sticks) recording and playing
And
Steam in home streaming

(only Full HD)

I am not sure if i will use windows or linux (perhaps the drivers for the usb sticks / Tv Cards are only available under Windows, and Bluray, and Netflix etc) , but i know that there are problems with some nucs and HD Bitstreaming under windows.

So what shoud i take:

And Pentium 3700 Box or an core i3 or even i5?

Thanks for input!

Core i is more future-proof and can hybrid-decode 10bit HEVC (Bluray 4K) since Skylake

but also more expensive and power hungry

Are you going to Bit streaming HD Audio (DTSHD/TRUEHD/ATMOS etc..) ?
