My project is a Media Center on RPI3 with a Touchscreen.
I've set myself a project to setup KODI on my Rasbian (May version) using a Waveshare 3.5inch RPi Touchscreen:
3.5inch RPi LCD (A) 320×480
http://www.waveshare.com/wiki/3.5inch_RP...alibration
The Touchscreen was given to me with the RPI3.
I've searched for days, but can't get it to work.
Installed the drivers etc under Rasbian and calibrated it. All fine. Touchscreen is working great now.
Updated it carefully as follows
sudo apt-mark hold raspberrypi-bootloader
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
Then updated the bootloader:
sudo apt-get install rpi-update
sudo SKIP_KERNEL=1 rpi-update
Installed Kodi. Then updated again.
But cannot get Kodi to run on touchscreen, it goes to HDMI even if the HDMI cable is unplugged (and touchscreen stops working until I exit Kodi).
Is there a setting to tell Kodi to fire up on the touchscreen.
(I see in the Kodi Setup settings that the smallest resolution is 640.. not 320x480)
(a few weeks ago I tried OSMC directly loaded, but could not get it to work)
Thanks for your help
Mark
