Recently added files.... suggestions
#1
For a while I wanted something to show what new files have recently been added in my collection (tv shows or movies).

I recently found out we could have local RSS feeds displayed on the home screen, so what I did is create RSS feeds with the names of my recently added TV shows and movies. That way my gf can see what new shows she can watch even if I forget to tell her that I've downloaded it.

But I was wondering if you guys have any other ideas for doing this, or if you have any ideas on how to automate this process (like taking the last files added to a folder and generating an RSS feed with the info in it)

so go on, share your ideas Smile

Recently Added as an item below Movies, TV Shows & Playlists would surely be welcome. (Like in the Music Library).

The setting is already defined for music.
I guess it would make the most sense to use the same (whatever it is Smile )

Edit.. posting at the same time Big Grin

i'll take tuning suggestions (# of items, labels)

final note: if you are gonna request a feature use the correct subforum, okay?

Since most of us will now see this functionality for at least another week Wink, how did you structure it? (qty, threshold etc)?

Aslo do you indicate new eps by showing just the series or the eps themselves? (Maybe there should be a threshold, more than 5 eps of the same series you only show the series... if possible at all)

recently added movies
recently added episodes

currently threshold at 25 items (as it is for albums in music).
episodes are labeled by show ep num and ep title

collapsing stuff to their series would take more effort than i want to put in, it would slow stuff down and not really add anything imo.

Wow I didn't expect that to come that fast! I'll be grabbing the latest svn tomorrow and see how it works, I dont use the music library so it will be entirely new for me.

and sorry for the wrong forum, I didn't know this would become a feature suggestion Smile
