BTW I recently attempted to add my source ip through Kodi File Manager. System/File Manager/Add Source/ changing none to smb://192.168.86.140. I also added my username and pwd to MyRecorded folder" and removed it from the serverWMC. Seeing my "MyRecorded folder" in the File manager list and I was able to play the recorded content from this location, but only this location.Since I did not try this prior I am not sure if adding the smb link helped playing from the File Manager location and whether it matters or not.

I still cannot play recorded tv from the TV menu nor can I play Live TV at all?

DISREGARD....INFO in previous post. Not confident to delete this extra post.
Ok I just posted more info and lost it. Anyway I removed my pwd and username from serverWMC to try to establish the smb path in Kodi. When I added the smb path, username and pwd in Kodi's file manager I found I can still not play live TV or recorded TV from the TV section of Kodi. I can however play the recorded TV from the file manager section (not sure if the changes I made were the reason this worked)

So from the log you posted, I see it is using the username mark and has a password. Was this the username and password you used in the file manager test above? If so, then it should work. However, you will need to add it back to the ServerWMC folders tab. It will have to be there in order for liveTV to work. Do that and restart ServerWMC, then connect and attempt to view liveTV. Please include the entire debug log and post to google drive or pastebin.

Yes same username and pwd however you will see in the log I made sure it was a capital "M", you never know.

Anyway I added back the username and pwd to serverWMC and no luck. Also restarted serverWMC. Still no LiveTV or Recorded TV from TV section of Kodi. I can still play recorded TV from File Directory location. Complete log link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzlexQY...sp=sharing.

Thanks for the whole log. You are right about the cause of the problem, but I can't figure out why the login is not working - especially since it worked from the kodi file manager. Are they any weird characters in the password?

Wait... In the swmc's folders tab, Instead of using the machine name (WINDOWSMEDIA) in the path to the folder, use the machines IP address instead.

Finally works...........Reason. First swmc's did not like me substituting the machine name with IP address BUT as it turns out the actual machine name is "WindowsMedia" NOT "WINDOWSMEDIA".....Like I said before can never underestimate syntax.

Thanks a million. Hope this helps others.
