ScrobblerDJ Port?

ScrobblerDJ is a script for MediaMonkey that makes use of the music library's metadata and the data in Last.FM (AKA AudioScrobbler) to do a sort of "smart randomness" thing. I think its one of the best ideas I have ever encountered on the subject, so I thought I would post some links here. After all, if MediaMonkey can do it, XBMC should be able to Wink

Here's a link to the AudioScrobbler API info:
http://www.audioscrobbler.net/data/webservices/
Its licensed for free non-commercial use under the Creative Commons, so it should be 100% legal to work with it Smile

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the current Python libraries can easily be made to talk to that API?

Has anyone been able to get his working? I am new to XBMC and absolutely love it. I really appreciate all the slick features and the obvious work that has been put into it. That being said, I listen to my music on my computer during the workday and use media monkey/scrobblerdj. It is awesome if you have a large music collection. Seems like it should be possible with XBMC now that there is Lastfm compatibility. I am willing to try anything . I just don't have the programing capabilty to make it happen. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks for the great product. XBMC rules.
