Linux Planning on new config - HDMI 2.0 per DP and bitstream per HDMI1.4

As far as I am aware it is not possible to go passtrough bitstream audio by using displayport (1.2). When you use an active converter to HDMI2.0, like the:

However to be able to still use bitstream I read that it is possible to output sound over a free normal HDMI 1.4 port to my AVR and output image to my TV by using the DP (connected to the adapter, since my TV does not support DP).
So my question is, is this working for members on this forum (and are there any who have tried)?

Furthermore I will be losing the connection between AVR,TV and HTPC since they are on separate cables. I have 1 pulse eight CEC adapter, If I use this on the HDMI2.0 my receiver wont be controlled anymore. If I add a second CEC USB to the setup would it work again (does kodi support this)?
