Is it possible to compile python addons to make it work in Kodi? Trying to create my own addon and it works when the whole source code is open, but as soon as I compile it doesn't work.

No. Kodi is built upon Open Source, is it really so bad to release your add-on code?

In this case it is not anything I plan to release and is more for friends privately. And yes there is just 2 much in the code that's sensitive information for me.
