The genre strings used in the live TV epg (19499 - 19684) are hard coded to always use the default GB strings.po
It would be nice to allow those string ids to be overwritten by either a localized language - or even better - an addon that allows someone to custom change the message. This would be helpful to those who use a PVR backend that only fill the genre type/subtype fields and don't fill the genre string field.
Also, in the long run, Kodi could be using the newer broadcast standard for Content CS (located in A8 of the following document) http://www.etsi.org/deliver/etsi_ts/1028...10701p.pdf
