DEBUG LOG FILE:
https://paste.kodi.tv/fafagiwuji
To clarify...
PROBLEM:
Playback has intermittent video lag behind sound track (1080p.mkv files).
Caveat -- it can be temporarily fixed "if" you quit then restart KODI.
DETAILS:
Lag happens with most 1080p mkv files. (However, the same files play perfectly using VLC outside of KODI.) What's strange, if you quit KODI (Exit) then Start KODI again, the same file plays perfectly. Unfortunately, the very next file you play has the problem back again. Until you quit and reopen to play. Another thing, sometimes the first file plays "ok" but the next file is choppy. If you quit KODI that same choppy file plays better (not perfectly tho).
STEPS TAKEN:
1. Added advancedsettings.xml
<buffermode>1</buffermode>
<memorysize>2147483648</memorysize>
<readfactor>20</readfactor>
2. Also experimented with various PLAYBACK options in PLAYER/SETTINGS
Currently Adjust Display and Sunc Display are off
In Processing, VTB hardware decoding is super slow and choppy - unwatchable. So that's off as well.
3. Reinstalled KODI (kept userdata)
DEBUG LOG looks pretty good except for a repeating WARNING.
This WARNING (see below) appears randomly throughout the log file,
but the number in "line repeats" varies each time.
WARNING: CRenderManager::Wait for Buffer - Timeout waiting for buffer,
WARNING: Previous Line repeats 92 times.
OSX Version - 10.12.6
Platform - Macmini (2010) 16G ram
Version of Kodi - Leia (max possible with old mac)
Any wisdom about how to proceed and resolve this is appreciated!
