I started from scratch and created a new VM for the mythtv backend. Running Mythbuntu 16.04 now.

Still needs to have "limit channel tuning attempts" turned to off for multiple tuners to work....

Ok, you should now be running mythbackend 0.28.

With "limit channel tuning attempts" turned off, this indicates that tuning is failing for some reason on the first tuner attempted.

A new full debug log is needed, Please ensure "Tuning delay (sec)" is set to 30 in pvr.mythtv addon.
