When will Kodi 17 be coming out?

I have read that Kodi 17 will need Android 5.x as a minimum.

I only have Android 4.x on my Minix and Minix are saying they will not upgrade their version of Android on my MX8h plus.

Will Kodi 17 check what level of Android OS is on my box before doing a play store update and not do the update because I only have Android 4.x?

Play Store should do that, Kodi shouldn't need to (although I think it does anyway for the sideloading case).

Your set-up will stay at Jarvis and you shouldn't be offered Krypton.
