Hi,

I'm running Windows 10 and I upgraded to Krypton. The video on 16.1 Jarvis looked great on my 48 inch Samsung 4K TV but the video on Krypton looks all pixelated and barely DVD quality.

The movies are either 720 or 1080P so I don't know why??

I tried to go back to 16.1 Jarvis but when I launch Kodi it just sticks on the main menu and have no mouse pointer.

Now I can't upgrade or downgrade unless I just put up with the terrible picture quality.

I've got a N2807 Bric so it's hardly cutting edge but has HD graphics and performed on 16.1.

Has anyone any ideas why the video quality was so poor? Has that much changed?

Kodi 17 is a new iteration with many changes, if you want to pursue Krypton you'll have to keep up with the nighties and forum fixes etc. If you are more interested in stable, then Jarvis might be your ticket.

Suggestion: If you've exported your library to separate files, a local re-scan will be quick and efficient.

1) delete/rename C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi
2) delete/rename C:\Users\chrisinodentino\AppData\Roaming\Kodi

Install Jarvis, set the sources and scrapers to local (or your choice if you didn't export) and you're good.

I have tried to downgrade from 16.1 to 15.2. In windows, I uninstall Kodi from control pannel
C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi and ()\AppData\Roaming\Kodi are gone

When I execute http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/win32/ko...engard.exe, it will still install 16.1

What am I doing wrong?

for the life off me, I can't figure out how http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/win32//k...engard.pdb became 16.1 but I shall digress, the original talk was moving to Jarvis 16.1 from Krypton 17 and now we're talking 15.2

Manually using windows explorer (not the control panel)

1) delete/rename C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi
2) delete/rename C:\Users\-Your Computer Log Name goes here- \AppData\Roaming\Kodi

Install Kodi of choice.

Stupid me. I had a backup installation of kodi that was being called instead by Windows shortcut magic.
