No matter what I do Ive tried unplugging my mouse and keyboard but no matter what the selection menu keeps wigging out and rapidly going side to side through the selections, it starts as soon as it Kodi starts up I dont know what else to do.

Do you have any joysticks or other controllers attached? If so remove those too.

If not please gather, upload to PasteBin or XBMClogs and paste a link here to a debug log (wiki) of such a start-up.

I used to have that problem all the time in XBMC/Kodi and had to hand-edit my guisettings.xml to disable joysticks/controllers. But that hasn't been a problem in Kodi 16. Kodi 17 also doesn't go crazy at start up but there isn't a guisetting for joysticks or controllers any more, you need to disable the "Joystick Support" add-on in the add-on browser.
