Hi guys I am new to kodi but my brother sent me a Amazon Fire stick with kodi installed (v16.1 Jarvis) and most of the top apps already installed but he has me totally confused me as he has told me to do this every time I use kodi

:go to settings
:go to applications
:go to manage installed applications
:go to kodi
:clear cache
:go to force stop
:launch application (kodi)

Surely I don't have to do this every time I want to use kodi ?

probably you do if you want to continue to use all those (probably illegal streaming) ' topapps' . If you use a clean kodi install, than no, you don't need to do that every-time. It just works
