v17 Sideloading Kodi on Apple TV-4
#1
Question
Hi Guys,

A few days ago I successfully installed Kodi on my Apple TV 4, without even jailbreaking the box.
I guess the method I used is called side load.
Everything was working perfectly until yesterday.

Yesterday when I tried to start Kodi, I got the message that Kodi is not available (or something like this).

After a bit of googling, I read that without having a paid developer account side-loaded apps work only for a few days on Apple TV and after that period of time they stop working.

Is it true?
If yes, is there any better way to install Kodi on Apple TV 4?

Thanks

I guess I found my answer:

That is because apple has reduced the length of the free "signing certificate" from 90 days to 7 days.

Now paying $99 is not an option for me.

Should I now use the JailBreak method to be able to use the Kodi on Apple TV 4?

Unfortunately there are really only two options... Xcode or jailbreak...

Unless you only want basic media playback and don't use extensions... (MrMC would be perfect for that)

There is another way, MrMC.
I tried it and it's for me a good alternative, because I don't need addons, and it has some kind skins.
