G4400 Intel Pentiun - onboard graphics
#1
Just recently built a system, I was under the impression the onboard graphics would be suitable for this build.

I'm having some issues with my installs. Openelec failed, error hinted at GPU.
I tried Kodibuntu with an openGL error now.

Would the onboard graphics be suitable? Is this CPU supported currently?
What could I look at doing to resolve this issue?

Can that 510 GPU with Hi10p anime, h265 and 4k?

No - hi10p will never be gpu accelerated. It is a purley academic format which never was intended to play on low power / speed devices. Use a core i7 for it.

510 decode 4k h264 just fine, also it decode h265-8 bit. No 10 bit in hardware.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

give LibreELEC 7.0.2 or 7.90.003 a try and report back

Ok, resolved this by installing Lubuntu, and auto launching Kodi
