Error when installing in cydia
#1
Hi

I'm trying to instal kodi threw cydia on my iPhone iOS 9.3.3 but I keep getting error not long after it starts installing. Is anyone else having this problem or know how to get around it?

the same problem occurred here.

I would not expect much to be done for Kodi on the newest iOS jailbreak until the dust has settled. New jailbreaks can cause many issues, even in normal iOS App Store apps, so it can be hard to say if something is a Kodi issue or not. If things are't working sometime next week then it's more likely to be a Kodi issue.

So what we can do now is to wait?

I just installed AppSync and then push the ipa signed by myself to my iPad. It works, but still can't install kodi in cydia or ifile.

Also tried to install kodi via SSH, the same issue as shown in ifile.

Tried below but still does not work

Why do I get "failed in buffer_write(fd) (8, ret=-1)" error in Cydia

A: There is no more space in that partition of your device. Add https://coolstar.org/publicrepo to Cydia and install "Stashing for iOS 9.2 - 9.3.3". See this post for more information

My friend, which source did you get appsync from??

sounds like it fails before even installing - its an issue with the jailbreak then most likely. Lets wait until pangu does some fixes/updates for the jailbreak

Used the pangu 9.3.3 jailbreak program yesterday on my iPad air 2 successfully and followed up with successful installation of the latest deb file for Kodi Krypton 17.0 through the use of iFile program from the Cydia app. It was "clean" without error messages AND even restored all my favorites and addons. Very happy jailbroken user once again.

I have the same problem, i couldn´t wait for the new jailbreak to install kodi on my phone, and now after jailbreak, no way to install kodi, get all time error message, grrrrrr.... frustarting.

Not sure if this helps....

I have an iPhone 6s with 64gb and an iPad Air with 16gb.

Both jail broken to 9.3.3 and my first go-to app for both was Kodi. Both failed with the error shown above.

Installed the Coolstar fix and Kodi installed successfully on the iPhone but stubbornly refused on the lower storage capacity iPad Air. Both are set up exactly the same...same sources etc.

Hopefully this may mean something to someone smarter than me but I reckon we will have to wait for yet another fix...

That jailbreak seems to suck Smile - well someone should really get me the output of "df -h" from an ssh session ...

Just to help others... Can you list apecifically, in order, the steps you took and what supporting apps you used to get this done? May relieve some headache for others.

In response to gdd2010, I offer the following webpages to consult with to get the chinese version of 9.3.3 jailbreak successfully installed AND the latest version of Kodi (Krypton) on your iPad or iPhone.

1. http://www.iclarified.com/56120/how-to-j...33-windows
2. http://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/darwin/ios/
3. http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Install_Kodi_for_iOS
Focus on topic "Development and custom builds" describing the iFile program found in Cydia and the use of Safari to download from #2 webpage. Use your JB'd
ipad to download the .deb file from #2 as it will put the ios Kodi build in the Download file folder for iFile to find it and allow iFile to install on your iPad or iPhone unit.

Hope this is a little clearer description...Perhaps the major help here was the iclarified.com webpage --- VERY instructional and precise.

Does this work for iPad too? And on a Mac?
