Bug
I have an asus chromebox (cn60 model) that has just stopped working, it is running (or should I say not running) on kodibuntu.

The problem is I can't seem to get kodi to boot to the media centre, it starts up then shows the kodi loading screen, next it goes all sopranos on me and shows nothing but a black screen. The best I have managed to do with my limited knowledge is to remove kodi by pressing ctrl alt f2 and then entering the following which i read from another post:

"sudo apt-get purge kodi"

This enables me to get into the ubuntu side, however If I reinstall in anyway I get the same error, just a black screen after boot.

Any help would be massively appreciated.

Hello. Welcome to the forum!
As stated, if you can grab the debug log for us, it'd be most helpful.

There could be a corrupt file that Kodi is trying to load prior to starting the main screen. If you can isolate or delete it, you'll be in luck.

Here's something...

Hide your xorg.conf file. I say hide, because I don't know if this is a fix, and you may want to restore it. Just make a copy somewhere, delete the master, and try a reboot. (With Kodi installed, of course)

Located in something like /usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d/
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Config

I'm not fully versed with ubuntu anything.........but this feels good.
Let me know.
