I have a pi 3 running Kodi, I want to know how to get access to the screen and menu options remotely on my PC on the network. is this possible? sometimes I have no physical access to the television it is connected to and things would be much easier if I could install zip files and add repos remotely from my PC in another room of the house


is there anyway to mirror and control the actual main menu remotely at all? RNC or anything?

It would help if you said what os you're running, and what version. There's a vnc addon for openelec / libreelec, but I haven't used it in a while so I don't know how well it works at the moment. Presumably osmc has something, but no idea.
Worth also searching / asking on the forum for your pi os.

You want dispmanx-vnc. I believe OSMC and LibreELEC include packages for this.

Be aware that VNC isn't a great protocol for the animated menus or video of kodi, so it feels pretty laggy - but should be good enough for occasional remote maintenance.
