Hello.
I am kodi for android newcomer and new here. Excuse my English. I'm from Germany.
Kodi is great and it works very well on my Amazon Fire TV Stick. My problem is SMB sharing with the network hard drive to the router Speedport (Telekom Germany). It is not a classical NAS rather a network drive with a USB connection. I keep getting "Operation not permitted" trying to open an SMB share. My PC on the network can I share. The network HDD is visible in the WLAN.
Other Apps on my Amazon Fire TV Stick, e.g.VLC player, can be shared with my network hard drive via SMB, Kodi not ... What can I do? Please help me.
The problem is in kodi 15, 16 ... and 17 ... kodi (alpa 3) equal.

In the windows installation of Kodi you can access the network drive.
