Hi is there a way to reset Kodi. I installed the revolver skin but my screen is now black with nothing on it. I can hear the system sounds. I want to revert back to a previous skin. The system is on a raspberry pi which I really don't want to have to wipe and start again.

What is the 'Revolver' skin? I don't recognise it as a skin that is supported on this forum...

Using helix. The skin was in the list under get more. May have been called revolve

Ah yes, a very nice skin. Traditionally getting back to the default skin in cases like this has been done by deleting guisettings.xml from the userdata (wiki) folder whilst Kodi is closed.
