I have a gigabyte h170n mainboard, which has two hdmi outs. I wanted to use one dedicated hdmi that goes straight to my tv, and another one for audio that goes to the avr.

But whatever I tried, nothing seemed to work properky. I tried this setup where I ran one tty with an xserver and a second one with a unity session. Switching with strg-alt-f1 didn't work, unity enters the low-graphics mode.

A different setup, where I ran kodi straight from unity didn't run as expected either. Every time i turned off my avr, kodi blinked and I could see the unity desktop for a few secs. Not the ideal solution either.

Any ideas on how to properly set this thing up?
