Hi volks,

I know its not allowed to grab user information but I'm not interrested in any Infos about the user (where he came from, name, age, etc...)
A little Team and I want to ReWrite Bromix-Youtube Plugin. There is always the Quota a hughe issue and this would be the same in the "new" plugin
without a higher quota. I would ask google for a higher quota, sadly they want to know, how much users are using this plugin.

Here is my Question:
Is it "legal" to get a encrypted, unique passphrase from the users (Based on their MAC-Adress or YouTube-ID, encrypted via md5 or something like that).
This phrases I could count and know how many users are using the addon.
With this number we can handle the Quota issue a bit better, because we would be able to manage the users access of the Google-Keys.

I know and this is not in my mind!

I only need the number of people who is using this addon to give a better support. Have you any idea who I could reach my goal?
