Black screen crash after stopping 3D movie with 3DVision hardware
#1
Kodi Version: 16.1 Git:20160424-c327c53 (Public stable release from the site)
Windows version: Windows 10 Home, all updates installed as of 08/22/16, anniversary update installed
CPU/Architecture: Intel x64 i7-3770K
RAM: 16gb

How to reproduce the problem:
Start kodi and set it up for 3d vision playback.
Eg. System->Video Output->Stereoscopic 3d mode / Current->Hardware based
and Preferred mode-> Hardware based
If I don't do these, the screen does go into 3d/flickering mode for the active glasses, but the screen looks garbled. Characters in text being displayed in one eye and different letters on my other eye. If I set these both to hardware mode, things look stable and properly 3d.
Next I go to a 3d film and play it. It works fine and looks great.
I stop the movie by clicking the stop button.
The screen goes blank and I hear a 'ding' sound being played. In my experience trying to play it without 3dvision enabled, this is probably the message that 3d movie mode has ended
The screen stays black and doesnt return. No response to ctrl-alt-delete. I have to shut down with the powerbutton.

Devices relevant to the problem:
NVidia 3DVision shutterglasses with ir transmitter.
BenQ XL2420Z monitor
