When I was using SPMC, I added the xbmc_env.properties (https://github.com/koying/SPMC/wiki/How-...MC-on-boot) file to the root of the external storage and it would start SPMC seconds after a Shield TV restart (which I found to be very handy).

Now with the issues I'm having with SPMC (can't install the latest version, after having to wipe everything from the shield - which was posted in the SPMC thread), I wanted the same feature to work with Kodi but am not having any luck.

Anyone know why this doesn't work with Kodi, and or how to fix it?

Because it's a SPMC specific feature not available in standard Kodi.

Damn, that kinda sucks.

Well hopefully someone will respond to my issues installing the latest SPMC on the Shield TV, in the other thread.
