kodi crashes (sometimes) when exiting a dialog or window to return to home menu.
i checked the end of the log following a few crashes and it always ends:

does it only happen when using plugin.video.thinktv? Did you try with confluence?

it does not happen all the time, but happens on exit from weather, the/any system menu and addon browser. It has not happened from any view window.

1. it may or may not happen in thinktv.
2. I have not tried confluence I will give it a try soon and report back

i apologize for not trying confluence before asking for help as i should have.
sure enough all appears to be good to go in confluence.
i also tried an original mod of the skin and all is well.
so it is an issue with this mod only.
