Solved [raspberry] No way to connect to server - Socket::setHostname failed
#1
Hello,

I can not succeed to connect MediaPortal PVRClient on Kodi installed on a raspberry pi 3.

My configuration is:

SERVER
* Windows 7
* Media portal 1.15.0

CLIENT 1
* Windows 10
* Kodi 16.1 (Apr 24 2016)
* MediaPortal PVRClient 1.13.6

CLIENT 2
* Raspberry PI 3
* Rasbian jessie (kernel linux 4.4.13-v7+)
* Kodi 16.1 (Apr 24 2016)
* MediaPortal PVRClient 1.12.0

On client 1, all is OK, I can see the TV on Kodi.

But on client 2, no way to connect PVRClient to server. I read a lot of posts on forum but without result.
I can connect to the shared folder (for example in file manager).
I try to disable windows firewall (on server side) but this changes nothing.

Do you have any idea to solve my problem?

For information, here is a sample of the log file:
Code:

Thanks in advance,

Laurent

OK, sorry fot this post, but I succeed to access to my server (by replacing logical name by IP address and surely another thing). I cannot see TV, so it's not completely solved but I post another forum with another title if needed.
