that change went indeed under my radar. i've updated the wiki with this info now.
it shouldn't have an effect on skins though i think? they use window names (which haven't changed) instead of id's.

Well, Aeon MQ series, at least, has mainly used the ids. I was wondering if using the name was "best practice" and maybe should change them all, as keeping track of the ids is a chore.

yup, use window names, not id's. id's can change (as you've noticed).
in the past skins used window id's, but that was changed about 4 years ago.
