DVBLogic 3.3.4 on LibreElec v7.90.005 gives and endless reboot cycle
#1
Hi

Enabling the DVBLogic plugin in LibreElec brings Kodi in an endless reboot loop. I enabled version 3.3.4. It used to work fine a couple of weeks ago in OpenElec, but it's doing this now for about 2 weeks. It did this in OpenELEC 7.0 Beta 3 and I just did a full clean reinstall with v7.90.005 Alpha where it does just the same as it did in OpenELEC.

Attached some debug logs. For example I do see messages like this:

Sep 03 16:54:29 Kodi kernel: PVRManager[881]: segfault at 20 ip 00007f2ea808cfca sp 00007f2e5efaf920 error 4 in pvr.dvblink.so.3.3.4[7f2ea804c000+68000]

Program terminated with signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

I'm not running it on a Raspberry Pi, just on generic hardware.

Test with the latest build from this thread: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=269815 - drop the latest .tar file in your Update folder and restart your PC.

You could also try renaming "/storage/.kodi" to "/storage/.kodi.bak" and start with a clean Kodi, it's possible a setting or database has been corrupted.

The test builds I've linked include the very latest pvr.dvblink addon. If it continues to crash, post your crashlog (see note #4 in the first post of the thread). You'll need to enable the pvr.dvblink add-on if you rename your .kodi folder.

It did this in a clean install, so I would rule out a corrupt database. The only thing I imported after testing this add-on was the videodb.xml video XML-database to the local SQL database. Al other settings and add ons were reconfigured manual.

This is a pvr.dvblink issue and out of LibreELEC's control. Once the issue is fixed by the add-on, LibreELEC will be able to publish an updated version.

The issue has been fixed both for Jarvis and Krypton.

It would be nice if someone from Kodi team could merge the pull requests:
