I use the Nextpvr addon for live TV and I noticed that when time skipping back there is no progress bar to let you know where you are in the buffer. Kodi 16.1 does have a timeshift progress bar when timeshifting.

I really miss this feature and I hope that it would be brought back in Kodi 17 in the future. If it is not I will stay stay Kodi 16.1.

We didn't remove anything in that regard ... it was never there yet afaik. Related feature request (aka - pelase use the search function next time):
