jingai is there any chance you can add the following 2 enhancements?


1. Display the Weather Temp and condition icon somewhere on the video overlay?

2. Also can you add Time Remaining on the video overlay?

Kodi 17's new default skin has both of these things.

1. Estuary's "top bar" is like the bottom bar in Metropolis, which is where both skins display weather information. However, the widget in Metropolis is not shown on the video overlay (among a few other places) because there is no room. This is simply a limitation of the design decisions made in the skin.

2. I don't see "Time Remaining" in Estuary either. I see current player position time / length, and at the top, I see the time at which the play will finish. This is the same as Metropolis. edit: Oh, I see, it's only when seeking.

I don't know if/when it will happen, but I've opened an issue on github for #2. Feel free to discuss it there too so when I do get around to it, I'll have a record of what went on.

I just had a thought

How would you feel about adding either "Time Left" Or "Time Remaining" in white font on the far right side right above the progress line where the playing time and total time in yellow font is?

I really think it would look pretty good in this location.
