I have recently bought an android tv box. it called x96, with amlogic 905x soc.
it came preinstalled with kodi jarvis and loads of addons which were mostly banned addo s. since I dont use thise addons I uninstalled that kodi and installed a fresh copy off googleplay. I have adden some adsons and while streaming movies it usually stops at about half the way in the movie. most commonly at the1 hr marker.. it then gives me a black screen and the whole kodi freezes. after a few seconds it returns back to the playlist and then crashes back to android giving the "unfortunately kodi stopped working" message. I have tried a few new installs, cleaned cache and data but to no help..it still crashes midway through a 2 hr movie. I understand that there are many posts abt kodi crashing and all but I have searched and read as much as I could but found no solution. I was hoping that people with way more experience and knowledge here might help me out. I do not know how to post/get logs or whatsoever from the tv box. has anyone found a solution to that? the kodi that came preloaded was not having these issues at all. played smoothly but had some buffering issues. I uninstalled that and as mentioned started with a kodi from the googleplay store.

well well well, you sound very patronising.

got some logs from the crash. it can be repeated every single time in the same way. start a movie. then just press stop, some seconds later kodi crashes. seems some kind of bug in kodi. not sure, i'm no coder... pasting log:
