OS X KODI won't close

lately I've noticed on my Macbook Pro that KODI won't close. I have to hold power button and restart my Macbook.
Sometimes after I power down and restart KODI will automatically start-up and again it won't let me close.
Did I do something wrong when installing or is this a glitch in the program.

It is possibly an errant addon not closing properly. A debug log (wiki) is needed.
