Video Stutter with HDHomerun Prime/WMC

@dschroed

Also: even though you don't have a problem with recordings. Getting a wtv file from one of the channels that have the stutter problems will enable us to see if there is a problem with the remux that we use for live-tv. Please do the following:

1) in the swmc debug settings temporarily uncheck 'delete temporary stream files'
2) play the channel that has the stutter problem. after a couple of minutes stop playing it.
3) go to the 'tempswmc' folder in your recorded tv folder and find the wtv file there
4) upload the file to here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0...sp=sharing
5) remember to turn temp file deletion back on when you are done.

No errors are reporting by ServerWMC... one interesting thing I noticed was 10.1 is 1080i whereas 7.1 was 720P. So could it be a problem related to de-interlacing? What do you have the de-interlacing settings set to?

Also I would review ALL video AND audio related settings in Kodi under both Settings -> System AND Video -> Playback as I have found they can sometimes have impact on playback etc. Eg Direct Sound vs WASAPI for audio output device caused problems for me. Also the stuff around adjust refresh rate and sync playback to display had impacts on playback too
Tried changing everything. WASAPI seemed to help, but as I said, it is sporadic, so eventually that still showed non-matching audio/video. However, I can't get kodi 16.2 to play fullscreen. So, none of the changes helped that. The following are the kodi and swmc logs:

Sorry for the late response on this. I tried remuxing the above file and it worked fine. Do you have another windows machine you can test on?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand how to remux. I didn't have any problem viewing the recording, in Kodi or WMC. The channel's audio and video were stuttering while I was recording the program, but playing it back wasn't an issue.

I am trying WMC PVR in Kodi 17 now first time.Just upgraded from Kodi 16. I keep getting video stuttering playing live TV. I can run WMC stand alone or HD Home run PVR with Silicon tuner in Kodi 17 without the same issue. Any suggestions to stop this please? Thank you.

The problem is only with live tv and not rec tv right? Post your serverwmc log (see debug tab) after playing a live stream with stutter - put it on pastebin.com, there may be a clue there to the problem. To keep the log file size down, restart serverwmc before you do it. Other things to check: that the computer isn't getting overloaded, your rec tv disk space and performance. Also try pausing the live tv stream for about 5 sec and then starting it again and see if that smooths the video for a while.
