I can't find the earlier Kodibuntu download link, for Kodibuntu 14.2 - I navigated abit and found the Older Versions and found Kodibuntu 14.0.
Can I still access the terminal and update to the latest stable release?

Sorry might be a stupid question, but I don't wanna risk my 16.1 getting broken cause I can't update.

Kodibuntu does allow access to the command line and updating.

However the whole kodibuntu thing is pretty dead, if you want an up to date *buntu+kodi experience then perhaps this thread.
