Public Estuary GitHub repository

If people want to contribute to Estuary, here is a public branch which i intend to keep in sync with the skin from our main kodi repo.

https://github.com/phil65/skin.estuary

So if you feel like putting up a PR or if you are interested in the past development of the skin, then this is the place to go. Wink

You don't need to compile a skin, simply download the zip from github.

Forgive my ignorance, but when I try to install the copy that I downloaded from GitHub using Kodi's "install from zip file", it errors out. Is this due to Estuary being the default skin with beta 5? Is there some other way to install the copy from GitHub?

try shutting kodi down then reopening and do it. if that doesnt work upgrade to the latest nightly build.

If you can't wait for the update PR to be merged....

- Download from Github
- Extract the zip and rename folder to "skin.estuary" (remove the .master)
- If using windows go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi\addons
- Rename "skin.estuary" to "skin.estuary.old"
- Copy the skin.estuary folder you downloaded earlier to C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi\addons

Initial impressions are it looks great, maybe a bit dark towards the top.

Much improved though, love new new slightly rounded buttons. Nice work!

Still no custom main menu's via nodes yet...?

Thanks, docwra. I'm running LibreElec and the location where estuary resides (/usr/share/kodi/addons) is read-only and cannot be renamed.

I found the tutorial below and it worked for me. One additional note: I had to go into the addons browser and enable the new skin to get it to show up in the skins list.

Skin looks great. I noticed right off the bat that it really uses the entire width and height of the screen.

I have it on a box running LibreElec and i just installed it from the zip download from github (rename the folder inside the zip from "skin.estuary-master" to "skin.estuary" first) and it runs with no problems, to update i just drag and drop the files from git and overwrite using filezilla
