IPTV Server software!
#1
Hi,
Im not sure if here is the right place to post this topic! so sorry about that if its wrong place Smile

I need to know is there any software like Tvheadend for windows ?
Its too hard to find a DVB-S2 card that compatible with Linux and good for budget Sad but there is a thousend alternatives for windows out there!
I want to make my own IPTV Streaming server, its about 15 Transponders! so this means I need 15 different Tuners. (maybe on 15 different servers).
It seems progmedia server can do the job but not sure!
And one more thing if I use prog media server, Is it possible to transcode stream links with TVheadend for my main server in DC ?

Thanks a lot Smile

You may want to look into a SAT>IP server to handle that many streams

See http://kodi.wiki/view/PVR_backend#Windows and also read http://kodi.wiki/view/PVR for PVR backends compatible with Kodi.

MediaPortal Server or NextPVR is probably your best bets depending on backend requirements.

There are many DVB-S2 cards that work in Linux. Digital Devices are probably your best bet if you're going to do something this big. The price will be fairly high but you'll get rock solid hardware with good drivers in return. Also I think tvheadend is one of the only sane options for a setup this big.

Surely the people who you are making licensing deals with can help you with this.
