KODI no longer boots directly

It's going to desktop instead.

Anyone know how to fix it?

This used to be so easy to fix in XBMC.

You might like to expand on that post a little - say, with the platform/OS/distro/version/Kodi version and similar relevant information...

I'm guessing you mean Kodibuntu?

Did you logout to the desktop recently? If so, it won't auto-start the kodi session until you log back in as the user Kodi.

Not sure how much it will help.

Yes: KODIBuntu (I think it's now Jarvis v16)

ASRock ION 330HT

I did and I can't seem to log back in again. It doesn't give me the options like it used to. The old system had KODI or KODIBuntu and I would just log into KODI and leave it like that until I needed desktop again. Now it just gives me "JD" or "other".

Look at this iPhone porn!

Okay. It worked. Here's what I did:

Went to bottom right of screen and hit the shutdown button. That gave me the option to log out.

When it refreshed again, there was a bar across the top which wasn't there for the Ubuntu session (that was at the bottom in Ubuntu) headed "JD HTPC" and with a login prompt in the middle of the screen.

Finally figured out what you were talking about: there's an icon at the top right which has the option to select whatever session you want to login to. That used to be in the login box. It was set to "Ubuntu".

Selected KODI and logged in.

Thanks for your help.
