Hi

I was hoping someone could do a Webbalert script along the lines of the DL.TV one for http://www.WebbAlert.com

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I have checked the Webballert site and there is a podcast in MPEG4 format. I have tried playing these files in XBMC. The result was that XBMC does not play these files when streaming them directly from the internet. I don't know why because other MPEG4 (podcast) files do not show problems. Also the latest XBMC build does not solve this.

But what does work correctly is to first download the files and then play them. This works fine.

I you want I can add this podcast to the Navi-X podcast list. http://home.planet.nl/~jon70928/. This script allows you to download the podcast and then watch it.

I second the request. I like webbalert a lot.

WebbAlert does offer a few different formats (codec) of video. The default one is Miro. But there is also a version that works with iTune/ipod. That should play fine in XBMC.

Interesting. Have you tried using the 'White' button on the newest build to access the menu and manually choosing another player (you can do this in plugins for instance). Occasionally I meet a video where i need to manually tell the program which to use!

Issue was solved some time ago.

You can find the Weballert podcast in Navi-x podcast section (as part of many other popular technology podcasts). It's in the technology section.

Navi-X can be found at http://home.planet.nl/~jon70928/

Also check out the GeekBrief.TV podcast which is my favorite.
