Hi Guys,

Totally stumped. Kodi won't use my poster.jpg files for any Movies.

My folder structure is:

Movies\Movie Name\moviename.foo
Movies\Movie Name\moviename.nfo
Movies\Movie Name\poster.jpg
Movies\Movie Name\fanart.jpg

Is RootSourceFolder\MovieName\poster.jpg no longer supported??

I'm using Kodi 16.2. I've tried Windows, OpenELEC, LibrELEC and OSMC...

I'm using Media Companion and it's generating moviename-poster.jpg and moviename-fanart.jpg - those work for me.
Whether poster.jpg should work I have no idea, I worry about these details when my stuff doesn't scan.

All of my movies are setup as poster.jpg. Are you trying to replace an already in place poster? If so, you can find the movie in kodi and choose info, refresh/reload the movie. That should make it instantaneous, but if you don't mind waiting (24-48 hrs), then sit back and do nothing and it will eventually take place!
