I would like to use a VPN directly on my FireTV gen 2 console. I was able to sidloed NordVPN, but was unable to log on, due to it looking like a smartphone app. Is there any good and safe VPN that can be loaded onto KODI directly from the app. At the present I only wish to mask my KODI usage. Unfortunately my router does not support a direct VPN install.

There currently isn't a way to do this without router. Your best bet is to buy a decent router and install the VPN through the router using something like dd-wrt. I ended up buying a $20 thin-client computer and installing PFsense then installing the ExpressVPN through there. It's a lot of work though. hoops to jump through, but in the end you'll have secure internet traffic for all of your devices, not just the vpn for Firestick.
