v16 Windows - Unable to create application
#1
Hi there,

I've had a look at other threads regarding this error (such as here) and tried deleting profiles.xml but this has not worked for me unfortunately.

I've done a reinstall, i've used malwarebytes to check if there's any dodgy stuff - all clean. Windows 10 operating system, my graphics are up to date, i've changed audio settings as suggested. Log is below:

Code:

18:39:01 T:5612  NOTICE: special://masterprofile/playercorefactory.xml does not exist. Skipping.
18:39:01 T:5612   FATAL: unable to load settings
18:39:02 T:5612  NOTICE: special://profile/ is mapped to: special://masterprofile/
Could it be that this advancedsettings.xml file is missing and causing it not to load? The app has been working fine on my pc since December. I've looked for this xml but can't seem to find it

and any is appreciated, thanks

Most like you a faulty profiles.xml or guisettings.xml
Find those files in your userdata and move them away and see which one is at fault.

I've tried those, could it possibly be a faulty windows10 user profile?
