Win Whole application unresponsive after anniversary update

The program constantly hangs, it takes a minute to recover, and then trying to interact makes it hang again.

There is a thread saying that the video is sluggish, this is the entire application, not just the video.

Tested on 16.1 and the nightly for 17: KodiSetup-20160929-2ec0be0-master

I reset all my settings

Can I get a reply/acknoledgement of the issue. Been days, still can't use Kodi.

I'm also having this issue (albeit it only on one of my machines and not the main one I use), and the only thing that has changed prior to it starting is the Anniversary update also...I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling 16.1 (17 betas weren't working for me when I've tried a few times)....I appreciate no changes are being made to the 16.1 build any more but more than anything I'm confused why this has started happening now. Strangely, the only thing I can do command wise is shutdown Kodi using alt F4 combo....but everything else is unrepsonvie

The issue still persists. Is this being investigated?
