Like several people here, I downloaded kodi 16.1, found it to be unstable, so uninstalled it . I followed the instructions on how to uninstall and it worked. I then re-downloaded it, thinking to get a more stable version. Then it said the file was damaged and I should trash it. I did that, and tried to download again; now, it refuses to download anything at all. What gives?

A few things you might want to try-
Insure you are downloading from here- https://kodi.tv/download/.
Try downloading with a different browser.

Just before, I have got a same problem at macOS sierra,
simply, i have deleted the downloaded file,
and, I have download again,
it it makes me working well,
I feel as sometime, it can not download the full contents
