Hi,
Normally I can work this stuff out but I've tried all the tricks I know so just wanted to check it this was a system issue or a problem between the seat and keyboard.
I thought I'd have a play with the new Windows Store version of Kodi, really like what I see. The PC I am trying it on also has Kodi 16.x on it. All the DBs moved across and everything looks great. However I can't get the passthrough to work correctly. My AV amp is showing the audio as multi-channel, switching the passthought option on and off doesn't seem to make any difference. Just to sanity check I've compared the settings with Kodi 16 and they are the same, the Kodi 16 passes through correctly and the amp shows the encoding type i.e. DTS/DTS-HD etc. Windows sound is configured correctly, as per the Kodi help guides.
The hardware is AMD R5 and I am using the WSAPI:HDMI output device on Windows 10 version 1607.
I did spend sometime searching the forum before posting but I couldn't see any specific to my issue.
