Booting right into KODI
#1
Hello, first timer here.
I have a problem: When I power up my Raspberry Pi 2 it boots
right into KODI. And although I first had a linux O.S. distro installed (it is Raspbian I think but I forgot Sad)
I cannot see a method to get first boot into that distro and then choose KODI.
How can I solve this?
Thanks.

When the pi is running are you able to connect to it using SSH from another computer?

Use the power button (lower left) to turn Kodi off?

I found it by searching.

If you want Kodi to automatically start when the system boots, edit /etc/default/kodi and change ENABLED to 1: ENABLED=1 or ENABLED=0 for not to.

Well, because I am booting right into Kodi, I do not know how to get into terminal do run that string.
Perhaps I have to execute some magic key combination to do that?

You should simply need to choose Exit from this menu (not turn off or shutdown).

I only see these possibilities in the left down corner:

1. Star : Clicking on it opens a window on the right side of the (kodi)screen and that's it.
2. Power of symbol : clicking on it opens three possibilities:
a. Power shut of system
b. Custom shut down timer
c. Reboot.

Then just ssh into the system from another device on the LAN.

I assume you run Windows on your main PC. Then install this...

http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtat...nload.html

Then from there it is quite self explanatory, you just need the IP address of your Pi. Which you can get from the system info screen in Kodi.

Then SSH should be easy as it is typically already built in to any linux system command line.

well I may be an idiot but entering this code did not do anything but giving my terminal this response:
"ssh: Could not resolve hostname ip.livingroom.pi: Name or service not known"
I tried other combinations with same results.
I give up...Sad

That's it. How can I see the IP's of my computer and that of the Pi?
And, if I have them, what is the command line I have to enter in terminal then?
