Audio Issues when transistion from comercials
#1
Kodi 16.1 on Raspberry Pi II, ServerWMC back end.

When a network TV show transitions from the show to the commercial, there is usually a skip - audio break, sometimes a loud spike, and then the audio stream continues normally.

Not to confuse the issue but I also have another problem with CBS network TV channel continually going out of audio sync while other network and cable stations stay in sync.

Are there settings that I can tweak to help with these two issue?

Thanks,

I personally don't know of any setting that effect these problems. Are these issues with live streams or with recorded programs or both?

No problem with live streams. Have not used recorded programs but would assume that if occurs on real time TV viewing then it would record the same artifacts. since it is saving the same stream.

So the problem is with live streams. If you want to help with debugging, the next time you are watching a stream, and either of these problems happen, then without stopping the stream, open up serverwmc and go to the debug tab and uncheck 'delete temporary stream files'. After doing that, then stop the stream. Then go to you recorded tv folder and open the folder tempswmc. save the wtv file you see there and save the serverwmc log too (you can get to that using the debug tab too).

Don't forget to turn temp file deletion back on when you are done.
