MEMOHI UFO no DTS Support
#1
Hello,

I have received yesterday my MEMOHI UFO. The box looks nice and it is smooth. It comes with KODI 17. However, It does not support DTS. I have sent email to MEMOHI support and this there answer:
"Dear

Thanks for you message, I am sorry that UFO don’t support DTS, thanks for understanding

Best wishes"

Best wishes from me, too :-)
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

@husseinb, Unfortunately, you have been conned by clever marketing. These snakeoil salemen have your money and now want nothing more to do with you. We see it all the time.

You need Firmware support basically, and you likely receive none.
If you don't want to get your hands dirty with DIY. Send the device back right now. I'm serious. It's not fit for purpose.

Your best bet is to head over to the LibreELEC forums, AMLogic section and flash LibreELEC to a SD card and run Kodi from that.

If this is amlogic, it should work fairly well in general. Please post a Debug Log first.

Yes it is Amlogic and I tohought might work fine as it is a similar chipset to the Minix U1 which is working flawlessly and I am so happy with. Please, find the debug log

It's

Quote:15:01:21 T:18446744073507965232 NOTICE: Running on Memobox Memobox UFO with Android 6.0.1 API level 23, kernel: Linux ARM 32-bit version 3.14.29

And your other U1 is Android v5 right? We switched to "proper" API with version 6 - so we will find out what is supported.

Am I supposed to guess what device you are even using?
Anyway if it's not there you can't use it. Quite simple
