After the update from Ubuntu 14 to 16 halted and my motherboard died at the same time, I decided to reinstall from scratch on my updated setup. Ubuntu 16 apparently was not an option as it wouldnt boot up to a prompt on my Bay Trail mobo. Now when starting kodi from commandline I get the message that it cannot create a GUI. I've succesfully installed XFCE to test whether something was wrong with drivers and can open that fine. I can run Kodi from desktop and that works albeit painfully slow. I suspect a debug log may be too soon, as I havent been able to start Kodi from cmd-line yet, so will share my Xorg.0.log first Thanks in advance.
